Booking an appointment

I recommend we have a brief conversation by telephone or email before we arrange an initial appointment to discuss your hopes for therapy.  This enables me to find out more about the kinds of difficulties you’re looking for help with.

We will then meet for a fuller consultation to discuss your needs in detail and agree the aims for psychological therapy.  During this consultation, I will explain the therapeutic approaches that I believe will be most effective for you.  The length of treatment will vary according to your needs.  It could be just a one-off appointment with recommendations and signposting to other specialists or a longer course of sessions.

You are welcome to bring a partner, family member or friend to the appointment with you.  For in-person appointments, please let me know in advance so that I ensure the consultation room is of a comfortable size.

Teaching and training

I offer teaching and training workshops to both education and healthcare providers.  If you are interested in a workshop on eating distress or the other topics detailed on my website, please contact me to discuss options.

Fees

Each appointment is 50 minutes and costs £110.  This fee remains the same throughout treatment. There may be additional charges for the preparation of psychological assessment reports. Payment is made by bank transfer.  For teaching and training rates, please contact me to discuss whether a half or full day arrangement would suit your needs.

Health insurance providers

I am an approved provider for various health insurers including WPA, BUPA, Aviva, Vitality Health, Cigna and AXA PPP.  If you are insured with a different company, do let me know and I can contact them directly.  Please note, the fee I charge to health insurers may vary from that charged to private patients.
